Hi everyone,
Sorry it has been so long since my last post. I wanted to tell you all about a potential problem that my doctors are staying on top of. My blood pressure is rising. This can be a sign that I am developing Toxemia (or Pre-Eclampsia). While there are cases of Toxemia where damage to both the baby and the mother has occured, my doctors are monitoring me closely and I am confident that we will both be 100%. This does mean that they may decide to induce my delivery early. I will try to keep everyone updated with delivery dates as I am told how my condition progresses. As for now, the doctors want me resting. I can still work but she wants me to sit the majority of the day and not lift anything more than 10 pounds. Everyone at work has been very accomodating so far and I am glad that I do not have to start my maternity leave early to sit in bed all day. The longer I can hold my blood pressure steady, the longer I can spend with Cambria after she is born before returning to work. If you want more information on Toxemia I found the website Wikipedia to be very informing. Here is a link to it.
